Ploning – The Philippine’s official entry to the Oscars

 

Yes… it is official… Ploning is our country’s bet for this year’s 81^st Academy Awards. This was proudly announced by Mr. Boy Abunda in “The Buzz”.

 

I have no comment on this because I personally was not able to see Ploning in theaters. I just want to give my sincerest congratulations to whole cast and crew of Ploning. May you bring home the first ever Oscars from our country.

 

The 81^st Academy Awards will be telecast on Feb. 23, 2009 (Manila Date). Official entries will be announced sometime last week of January.

David Cook Live in Manila – Jan. 27, 2009

OMG… It is like a bombardment of news all about AI and just recently… no less than the reigning AI7 winner David Cook will grace the Philippine archipelago for his first ever post-concert on Jan. 27, 2009. When the radio announcer asked if this is going to be a world tour… he said no… Philippines are the first stop then the tour will probably in US only. Though he confirmed that a world tour is not yet discussed… at least the Philippine Concert is definitely in…. yahoo…. BTW he is going to launch a new album come this November, 2008 and this is most probably the reason why he will visit us.

 

Besides winning the American Idol Season 7, Cook also broke the record for the most debuts on Billboard’s Hot Digital Songs chart, where he placed 14 debut entries, the record of which was previously six set by Bon Jovi in 2007. Cook’s 17 entries had a combined total of 944,000 digital downloads in the first week of selling.

 

Well Papi David if you are reading my blog, on behalf of the Filipino fans of AI, we are so privileged that this is the first country you will visit after Idol. I’m sure your album will going to be a success. We will totally support you and I am sure that this concert will definitely be a blast.
